Katy and I met in August of 2014 when we were both hired at Wrapsody (basically the cutest one stop shop for all your gifting needs - and of course, they wrap!!). We instantly clicked and I knew I had found such a precious friend in Katy. I remember all the stories we swapped across the cash wrap. We talked about our faith, hopes and dreams for our future, boys... it's a wonder we got anything done. Katy said goodbye to Wrapsody that winter and pursued an amazing job opportunity, but our friendship continued to grow over many Zoës Kitchen dates and parking lot talks (you know, the ones where you're not done talking but the restaurant is trying to close, so you have to move all the crap out of your passenger's seat so you can continue chatting? Yeah, so many of those!)
When Katy told me about Jake for the first time, I knew he was different. Giddy doesn't begin to cover the emotion that I saw in her when she spoke of him, so you can imagine my excitement when I heard of their engagement!
Their wedding was such a beautiful reflection of the relationship they've built. Family, friends, as well as their church family came from all over to support and witness their vows and to celebrate their new journey.
Katy is as creative, thoughtful, and sincere as they come and those qualities were carried over into every detail of the wedding. From the color palette and her perfectly executed mix-matched bridesmaids dresses... to her coffee bar & seating area for her guests to highlight encouraging scripture in their family Bible, she seriously thought of everything. It was an honor partnering with this sweet friend of mine, and helping her bring these dreams to life.
Katy and Jake: I've never met a couple more suited for each other than you two, and praise God for his provision in bringing you together. I wish we could do this day over and over again, but I'm sure married life is 10x better. Thank you for representing Christ's love for us through your marriage, and for allowing me to be a part of your day! Much love <3
